چکیده

SENSITI ZA TION of potential transplant recipients by formation of Iymphocytotoxic antibodies can be a result of prior blood transfusions, pregnancy. or failed allograft transplantation. While the presence of preformed anti-HlA-A and -B Iymphocytotoxic antibodies does not appear to influence the survival of liver allografts; this has been a contraindication in renal transplantation because of the high incidence of hyperacute rejection.' We report a case of successful transplantation of a renal allograft. in the face of a positive warm T cell crossmatch sequentially following a prior hepatic allograft transplantation from the same donor.

Combined liver-kidney transplantation and the effect of preformed lymphocytotoxic antibodies.

Thirty-eight sequentially placed liver and kidney allografts were evaluated with respect to patient and graft survival, and the influence of preformed lymphocytotoxic antibodies was analysed. The results suggest that the survival rate of combined liver and kidney transplantation is similar to the survival rate of liver transplantation alone. Sequentially placed kidney allografts may be protecte...

Sensitization to human lymphocyte antigens by corneal transplantation.

Although corneal transplantation is performed on patients with densely vascularized corneas, the likelihood of immunologic rejection is greater than in the nonvascularized cornea. In other organ transplantation systems, immune rejection has been correlated with the degree of antigenic disparity of the major histocompatibility antigens (HL-A) between the donor and the recipient. In this study, w...

پیوند همزمان کبد و کلیه در بیمار مبتلا به نارسایی کبدی و کلیوی در یک بیمار 18 ساله

Introduction: Over the years, renal insufficiency caused by liver disorders was an obstacle to liver transplantation in these patients. After presenting a system for the evaluation of various stages of liver disease, simultaneous transplantation of the liver and kidney is considered an appropriate therapeutic treatment in patients who are at the end stage of the liver disease and have secondary...

Humoral rejection associated with antidonor lymphocytotoxic antibodies following liver transplantation.

H EPATIC allografts are more resistant than other solid organs to antibody-mediated rejection, and human hepatic transplants can be successfully performed in the face of donor-specific lymphocytotoxic antibodies (positive crossmatch).1.2 However, we recently reported a significant decrease in patient and graft survival when a liver transplant was performed against a positive IgG lymphocytotoxic...
